09/10/18

Updated: May 13, 2019

On Monday the 10th, I had no school due to Rosh Hashanah. Because my family does not celebrate this holiday, my mom and I decided to go out and do something nice. The weather was beautiful so we decided to bike to the Chicago Botanic Gardens. It was 18 miles to bike to the gardens and then back to my house, along with lots of walking once we arrived at the Gardens.

As nerdy as it may sound, I love nature so much and think it is the prettiest thing. Everything has its own beauty to it and I think it is amazing how everything is created. While at the Gardens, my mom and I walked through all of their different areas such as the Japanese Zen Garden and the Rose Garden which was my personal favorite. I wanted to wear something simple and cute, so I threw on a polka dotted skirt from Princess Polly and a white crop top. I added some denim espadrille sandals and my red Gucci bag that I am currently obsessed with.

While in the Japanese Zen Garden, my mom and I came across a huge willow tree along the water. I think willow trees are so pretty and calming. The tree we saw was hanging over the water so that you could still see the water flowing underneath it. I thought this was one of the prettiest sights in the whole Garden.
