This weekend was my school's Turnabout dance. My school has three dances, Homecoming, Turnabout, and Prom. Prom is mainly for seniors, so I turn my focus to Homecoming and Turnabout. I prefer the Homecoming dance to Turnabout because I love how the entire school and community get involved with theme days, pep rally, a football game, and a parade. Turnabout, however, is much less popular and has no hype leading up to it, making it not as exciting.
While searching for a dress, I ordered three dresses, however, none of them were right. Some were too formal while others were too skimpy. I'm so happy with the dress I decided on which is this colorful striped dress from the brand h:ours by Revolve. I love how fun it is with the tie and different colors incorporated on it. The black fabric is also covered in sequins which I think adds some detail. As for accessories I wore black heels from Sam Edelman and a necklace from my Grandpa that is covered in rainbow jewels which not only looks great with the outfit but is so meaningful to me. To spice up the outfit, even more, I had my nails done to match colors of the stripes so I did teal hands with some sparkle party nails, and then bright pink on my toes.
Overall I love my outfit and had a great night with my friends. I love getting to dress up and think this outfit was so fun.
