I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas! Tomorrow morning my family and I head down to Playa del Carmen in Mexico. The weather this Winter in Chicago has been pretty moderate thus far, hopefully I didn’t just jinx it… Even though the weather has not been bad, I am very excited to go away to warmer weather.
Before I head south, I once again wanted to head to the city to view all of the holiday decorations. One of my favorite locations in the city is by the Wrigley Building on the Magnificent Mile. The building is right along the edge of the Chicago River and is surrounded by, in my opinion, some of the most beautifully designed buildings in the city. Currently under the Wrigley Buildings arch is a huge Christmas tree covered in lights and a large red bow to top it off. When my friends and I arrived at the location the sun came out of the clouds and made everything shine.
Earlier in the week I was shopping for some last minute Christmas presents and I came across these pants at Bloomingdales. They give me a “Grandpa on Christmas Eve” sort of vibe :). Because the pants are so bold I paired them with a cropped black sweater and my Nike sneakers.
Usually my family is not home on Christmas day, so I have gotten used to spending the holidays away. However getting to walk around the city and see all of the decorations with my friends puts the biggest smile on my face. I hope everyone is able to do something this season that makes them or someone else’s day a little brighter.
